LG unveils 4K projector capable of outputting 150-inch projection

LG has just unveiled a beast of a projector that supports 4K HDR projection and comes with half the size of competing 4K projectors which LG said are a hassle to install and setup.

The HU80KA is being sold as an affordable yet premium device which can output 150-inch picture on to any wall in your house. It is also the brightest projector the company has ever produced, topping out at 2,500 lumens. Alongside 4K resolution, it also supports HDR10 content and it can be position on the floor, mounted on a wall or hung from the ceiling. There are two 7-watt speakers built into the projector which would be fine for casual watching but if you want the immersion, it is recommended that you hook the projector up to an external speaker system via optical, HDMI or Bluetooth. The projector can also play media off a USB drive and lets you connect a mouse and keyboard and it is running on webOS so you can expect to find apps like Netflix.

LG has not released the pricing for the HU80KA but we should expect something during CES 2018 when LG take the stage to show off their latest products. The projector will not come cheap as standard 4K projectors are slightly under $2000, so this might be priced higher.
