LG was one of the first to launch a smartphone with a taller display. The LG G6 marked a revamp in LG’s flagship design, ditching the modular feature and LG Friends accessories, along with a near bezel-less front display panel among one of the key changes from the G5. The display aspect ratio is at 18:9, which fits more content into one screen and is more ideal for multi window support. LG has been rumored to feature the 18:9 display on a mid range model, and that phone will be launching tomorrow.
The LG Q6 that has been rumored for a while now is set for its appearance by the South Korean manufacturer tomorrow (July 11). A number of specs and features have been teased on LG’s social media, including a 5.5-inch display which is likely to be taller than wider, a wide angle camera and easy one handed usability, which hints at a minimal bezeled front panel.
The internals of the LG Q6 have been tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 400 series processor, along with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This will place it in mid range territory.
There has been a rumor of an LG Q6 Plus variant as well, but let us wait till LG unveils the Q6 later tomorrow. What do you think?
