Rollable TVs and transparent displays? – LG to showcase theirs at CES 2020

The future is now! LG will take to this year’s CES a host of futuristic display panels – and among the repretoiris a foldable screen and a transparent panel.

At LG’s booth, you’ll find a 55-inch Full HD Transparent OLED display that has a 40% transparency, which can be used as aisle partitions in aeroplanes – we reckon these would be filled with airline ads but the tech itself is cool nonetheless.

Next, we have a 65-inch Ultra HD Bendable OLED panel that can be bent at either end. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen rollable screens from LG, but this new entry is different that it can be rolled down from the ceiling, like a projector screen.

Lastly, for something more conventional, LG will also introduce a 48-inch OLED TV that takes into account their customers’ demand for smaller displays for compact homes. This is in addition to their existing line-up of 55-, 65-, 77- and 88-inch TVs.

As the convention kicks off next week, we won’t have to wait much more until the Korean giants show off their newest panels.
