LG releases the V40, their first smartphone that comes with 5 cameras

In 2017, LG came out with LG V30 which most acknowledged as LG’s best smartphone then. Fast forward to a year later, LG is out with their new LG V40, which has 5 cameras which includes a telephoto lens and wide angle lens.

The LG V40 has an OLED screen that provides vibrant colors on its 6.4-inch screen display, in addition to the thin bezels design. It has a Google Assistant hotkey at the side and a fingerprint sensor on its back. Another good news is that LG V40 is water and dust resistant, this indicates that the smartphone can survive in 1 meter of water up to half an hour.

Now, let’s talk about the LG V40 cameras. The rear camera has 3 lenses; a standard lens, a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. The standard lens has a 12MP sensor and is equipped with OIS, whereas the wide angle lens has a 16MP sensor, a plus for those who want to fit more details or subjects into their photos. Lastly, there’s the telephoto lens that has 2x zoom and has a 12MP sensor. You can choose which lens to shoot your photos with, or there’s also a Triple Shot mode which snaps your pictures with three lenses simultaneously.

The LG V40 also allows access to Google Lens on its camera app, a feature that provides information to users based on the subjects they interact with. In terms of front camera, the LG V40 has a 8MP sensor for your selfies and a 5MP sensor for wider angle pictures, meaning group selfies could be less challenging.

The LG V40 comes with Snapdragon 845, runs on Android 8.1 and has 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. There are 4 color options for the smartphone, the Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Platinum Gray and Carmine Red. LG V40 also comes with a non-removable 3300mAh battery, which supports quick charging.
