LG has recently announced two new monitors which are being prepped for CES 2018, the 32UK950 and the ultra wide 34WK95U, both with HDR support and a new technology to which LG is calling, Nano IPS.
Nano IPS is developed to improved colour accuracy and it is the reverse of what QLED is. Where QLED uses quantum dots to emit accurate light, Nano IPS uses nanometer size particles to absorb excess light, providing a clearer image and it is able to display 98% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum. Aside from that, both monitors will come with Thunderbolt 3 ports allowing you to plug your laptop using just the Thunderbolt ports or hook up dual 4K monitors. The 34UK95U is LG’s first 21:9 UltraWide monitor that supports 5K resolution and HDR600.
LG will be showing off these two monitors during CED 2018, which will be joined by a QHD gaming monitor, 34GK950G which comes with the new Nano IPS technology and Nvidia G-Sync.
