Mobile World Congress 2017 at Barcelona is only a couple of days away, and will commence next week. We all do know that LG will be unveiling its G6 flagship while fellow South Korean manufacturer Samsung will be keeping its upcoming Galaxy S8 for an exclusive launch event next month. A new report has the fixed release dates and even a pre-order date for the former handset.
According to South Korean news outlet ET News, the LG G6 will be released on March 10, with pre-orders starting March 2-9. The Samsung Galaxy S8 on the other hand, will be launched in New York on March 29 and is suggested to go on sale on April 21. There seems to be no pre-order details or dates regarding the Galaxy S8 thus far. Looking at the figures, the LG G6 will have an advantage of 42 days when it comes to the sale of the device over the Galaxy S8. The number of days add up to 50 when you include the pre-sale week.
The initial plan for the Galaxy S8 was to have an earlier South Korean release date, set for 14 April. However, a Samsung official has claimed that the company switched up on its plans due to reasons regarding supplies, hence launching the upcoming flagship a week later on the same day as the global release. The LG G5 of last year performed poorly in sales, do you think LG can make up for that with a 42 day advantage on the LG G6 over the Galaxy S8?
