Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i and Yoga 9i launched in Malaysia

UPDATE: Lenovo has provided us with updates regarding the Yoga 9i’s specs – it’ll sport Intel Core i7-1185G7 CPU and only the Intel Iris Xe for graphics. It is priced from RM6,499.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon and Yoga 9i laptops are now in Malaysia, meaning two more premium lightweight options for your consideration.

Yoga Slim 7i

As its name suggests, this laptop is a compact 13.3-inch device and it weighs just 969g, and is 0.49-inches thick. The lightweight nature of the laptop is made possible by the carbon fibre material used in creating the chassis.

The display here is a 16:10 QHD IPS panel with an anti-glare finish. It supports 100% sRGB colour space and Dolby Vision as well for wider dynamic range.

Under the hood, this ships with either an Intel Core i5-1135G7 or a Core i7-1165G7 CPU, as well as the Intel Iris XE integrated graphics GPU. The Core i5 model comes with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, while the Core i7 model offers 16GB of memory and a 1TB of storage. Both laptops run on LPDDR4X 4266 memory and a PCIe NVMe SSD.

Both models come with an IR webcam but no fingerprint scanner. The two are also powered by a 50Wh battery.

Yoga 9i

The Lenovo Yoga 9i is a 14-inch convertible laptop and comes in a cool leather cover atop an aluminium chassis. What’s also interesting is the palm rest that’s made of glass! Here, there’s also a ‘smart sensor’ touchpad – though you won’t be able to see it – that also offers a tactile click wen actuated.

Under the hood is a 10th-Gen Intel Core i9 HK-series CPU along with up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i is priced from RM4,399 and is available through Lazada and Shopee; purchase the laptop from now until December 31 and you’ll also receive gifts worth up to RM1,445. Meanwhile, the Lenovo Yoga 9i will set you back RM6,499 and pre-orders will start this December 12. You’ll receive your laptop this January.
