In light of the launch of both the Nvidia GTX 1650 and GTX 1660 Ti mobile GPUs as well as the 9th-gen Intel Core mobile processors, Lenovo has updated their lineup of Legion gaming laptops with these new graphics cards and CPUs.
The laptops in question are the Lenovo Legion Y740, Y540, and Y545 models – starting with the priciest of the lot, the Legion Y740, it gets the all new 9th-Gen Intel Core i7 CPU. There are two variants available – the 15-inch or the 17-inch version and you can get it with either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q; or the GTX 1660 Ti.
Elsewhere remains the same – a 144Hz monitor, 16GB or 32GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, and more.
Moving on to the Legion Y545 model; this one is new in the lineup and it falls between the Y540 and the Y740. It also gets a 9th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU; while for graphics, your options include an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, a GTX 1660 Ti or a GTX 1650. Meaning that the Y545 is meant to be a premium mid-ranger. The laptop comes is a no-frills machine with a portable 15-inch form factor and back-lit keyboard.
As for the legion Y540, you can expect a 15-inch laptop that, again, comes with the 9th-gen Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Lenovo claims that this laptop will last you up to six hours while gaming and has the brand’s Legion Coldfront dual-fan thermal system.
The Legion Y740 is priced from $1,609.99 (RM6,655) and will be available this month; the Legion Y545 is priced from $979.99 (RM 4,053) and will also be available this month; while the Legion Y540 will cost you $1,269 (RM4,095) and will be on shelves in June.
