Lenovo to make Moto phones as primary focus in Malaysia

Things are looking good for Lenovo on the smartphone side of the business, though the company still releases its own branded phones in the past few months, it is safe to assume that the company would move forward to sell only Moto branded smartphones in the Malaysian market. Pocketnow has reported that Motorola’s sales has been recovering in Brazil and the US, it has seen growth in India as well where it tops 35% of sales in online stores such as Flipkart and Amazon, and it is rather optimistic to see that the brand maintains fourth place in the US after LG, Samsung and Apple.

The Motorola brand has always been perceived differently from Lenovo, it certainly does have a reputation for making great Android devices like the Moto G and Moto E, which were affordable devices that comes with guaranteed Android updates at the ownership of Google. At the hands of Lenovo, the company has continued to make great devices like the Moto Z and Z Play, alongside with new innovative mod accessories. Since Lenovo hasn’t exactly done well with its own branded smartphones, it would make a lot of sense for the Moto brand to be the frontline of the company’s smartphone offerings.

Based on the company’s achievements with Motorola, we can the possibility of the Moto brand might slowly take over Lenovo’s position in the smartphone market, Its definitely an exciting time for Motorola, and we can’t wait to see what it has up its sleeves to play against comeback players like Nokia.
