Lenovo’s line of ThinkPad Yoga 2-in-1s are great as an office workstation, but they aren’t exactly machines that are meant for the professionals working in the creative industry. This may be changing as Lenovo has just recently announced the Thinkpad P40 Yoga, a 2-in-1 laptop with workstation level 3D hardware.

According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad 40 will come with a brand new sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The star of this 2-in-1 however, is the Quadro M500M discrete graphics card with 2GB of VRAM.

Besides raw horsepower, Lenovo has put in some work onto the Thinkpad P40’s screen. Featuring Wacom’s Active ES technology, the 2560 x 1440 IPS display of the Thinkpad P40 is capable of offering a full, 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity, perfect for professional artists and designers.

If this all sounds exciting to you, you might want to wait a little longer for it as the Thinkpad P40 will only be available during the first quarter of 2016. The Thinkpad P40 is expected to retail for USD 1,399 (roughly RM 5,900 based on current conversion rates).
