Lenovo launches Legion Y920 laptop, updates Y520 and Y720 gaming desktops

Lenovo has updated its Legion gaming family once again with three new products today, which includes the Legion Y920 gaming laptop we have reviewed recently, the upgraded Legion Y520 Tower and Legion Y720 Tower gaming desktops, these new gaming products are made to fulfill the demand of gamers in Malaysia with high end gaming hardware, while having a competitive price tag to make high end gaming accessible to everyone.

The Lenovo Legion Y920 is the first high-end gaming laptop from the company, it is a 17-inch laptop that comes with set of beefy hardware, including an overclockable Intel Core i7-7820HK processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and 2TB SSHD storage configuration, a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics chip, and a 75Hz refresh rate display with support for NVIDIA G-Sync. In addition, the Legion Y920 comes with a low profile mechanical keyboard that is entirely designed by the company, it also has a powerful 7W 2.1-channel JBL speaker system, which we find them to be decent back in our review.

The Legion Y520 and Y720 gaming towers have also been updated to the Intel Kaby Lake platform and comes with NVIDIA’s GTX 10 series graphics card, and hence they are now Oculus-certified for VR applications. As for the Legion Y720 Tower, Lenovo has given users the option to upgrade to a PCIe Gen 4 SSD or Intel Optane Memory if they desire for faster storage performance, its tool free chassis design also allows gamers to easily upgrade the internals without any screw removal.

Lenovo’s new Legion gaming machines will be available starting today at all Lenovo Exclusive stores and Lenovo Multi Brand stores nationwide. The Legion Y920 laptop retails from RM12,999, while the Legion Y520 and Y720 Tower retails from RM4,999 and RM7,799 respectively.
