Lenovo launches 2022 Legion gaming laptops in Malaysia

Lenovo has introduced four new Legion gaming laptops today, they are the 16-inch Legion 5 Pro and 5i Pro and 15-inch Legion 5i and Legion 5 gaming laptops.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro series is the first 16-inch gaming laptop to feature a WQHD+ resolution display with up to 240Hz adaptive refresh rate, the series come in both 12th Gen Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, graphics power is then served by up NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series Laptop GPU with the top spec model managing a 150W TGP, complete with 4800MHz DDR5 memory, up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, WiFi 6E and supports 135W USB PD charging convenience, making it the ultimate on-the-go gaming laptop that any gamers could ask for.

As for the Lenovo Legion 5 series, you get the same processor option as the Pro with the major difference being its 16:9 display, which is still pretty respectable as it comes with up to a WQHD resolution that refreshes at 165Hz, it also covers 100% sRGB color gamut with a 300 nits brightness and has Dolby Vision HDR support.

Compared to the previous generation, the new Legion 5 series has an improved keyboard where keystrokes are now noticeably quieter with a 33% reduction in percussion and 1.5mm of key travel, thermals have also been greatly improved with a 40% more powerful fan with a larger exhaust fin area that’s 45% larger than the previous generation.

The 2022 Legion 5 Pro series and Legion 5 series are now available for purchase in Malaysia with their starting prices as detailed below:

  • Lenovo Legion 5i Pro (16″, 7) with 12th Gen Intel Core processors – starting from RM8,499
  • Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (16″, 7) with AMD Ryzen 6000H processors – starting from RM7,399
  • Lenovo Legion 5i (15″, 7) with 12th Gen Intel Core processors – starting from RM5,999
  • Lenovo Legion 5 (15″, 7) with AMD Ryzen 6000H processors – starting from RM5,299

These new gaming laptops can also be owned easily with 12-month installment plan with HSBC credit cards at Lenovo Malaysia’s online store.
