Kudos to Lenovo’s efforts in making its own smartphones apart from its Motorola subsidiary, but it is rather difficult not to criticize Lenovo’s latest handset in terms of design. The Lenovo K8 Note has finally been launched in India, and it looks very much alike to the Honor 6X.
At first glance, the Lenovo K8 Note’s design is definitely not unique by any means. Instead, it looks inspired by the likes of the Huawei Mate 9 and the Honor 6X, both of which have rear fingerprint sensors, dual camera setups and metal unibody builds. The K8 Note sports a standard 5.5-inch IPS LCD display at Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood is a MediaTek X23 chipset, with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage respectively.
The dual rear camera setup consists of a 13MP sensor and a 5MP sensor. These cameras allow the K8 Note to capture images with contrasting depth of field effects, capable of viewing up to f/1.2 aperture in real time. The front camera is no slouch too, an impressive sounding 13MP shooter. The huge 4,000mAh battery of the Lenovo K8 Note should breeze through the day without any issues.
The Lenovo K8 Note isn’t actually a disappointing device apart from its copycat design, proving the Lenovo is still very much capable of producing impressive smartphones of its own. The K8 Note will probably remain as an India-exclusive device for a while.
