Lenovo debuts the budget K6 Power in India

Lenovo has it going again at the a’s YouTube channel. Without further ado, let’s take a look at whether the Lenovo K6 Power is worthy of its “Kickass” title.

First things first, the Lenovo K6 Power sports a 5-inch IPS display on the front with 1080p resolution, giving it 441 ppi. Underneath the hood is a 64 bit octa core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz along with an Adreno 505 graphics processing unit. Lenovo has fitted 3GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via the micro SD card slot, supporting up to 128GB of extra storage.

Moving on to the camera department,Indian market, planning kick some ass with the affordable Lenovo K6 Power. The launch event, which only ended a couple of hours back was streamed live through Lenovo Indi the Lenovo K6 Power features a rear PDAF image sensor of 13 megapixels. On the front lies a wide angle selfie shooter of 8 megapixels, a Sony IMX 219 image sensor to be precise. The ‘Power’ branding of the handset begins to show when you look at its larger than usual battery with a capacity of 4,000mAh. Lenovo promises a total of 649 hours of standby time with the K6 Power’s battery, which is equivalent to 27 days. That’s nearly a month! Assuming that you leave the phone at its idle state for that long of a duration. On top of that, the phone can act as a power bank as well, if you happen to require some battery juice in a pinch.

Like most 2016 handsets, the Lenovo K6 Note features a fingerprint sensor which sits on its rear panel. The company has added an extra nifty feature on its own Pure UI on the handset, allowing users to lock individual apps as well. The phone unfortunately sports a micro USB port instead of a USB Type C port, which can be an issue when it comes to future proofing.

Available exclusively via India’s popular online shopping platform FlipKart, the Lenovo K6 Power carries a price tag of 9,999 INR (RM649.86). Is the Lenovo K6 Power kickass enough for its pricing? What do you think?
