The marvelous creation of Lamborghini Urus made its debut appearance at the Alya Sime Darby showroom yesterday, and it really stayed true to its multi-faceted personality that it brings about. It’s touted as the first Super SUV that Lamborghini has ever launched and it’s going to be an ultimate game changer, by incorporating luxury and super sports car dynamism elements.
The new Urus sports a new front-mounted, 4.0 litre petrol V8 twin-turbo aluminium engine with 650 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 850 Nm at 2,250-4,500 rpm, which reflects the desired range of the SUV in providing optimal engine efficiency. While the twin-scroll turbochargers run in parallel and helps to reduce turbo lag, in ensuring maximum torque and smooth provision of power throughout the whole ride.
In terms of the exterior design, it reminisces elements from the Miura and Aventador, but still adopts the two-thirds body, one-third window ratio of Lamborghini super sports cars, hence, keeping it true to their design heritage. It has a distinctive single-line silhouette which features a dynamic coupé-style fly line, and the rear of Urus sports the complex, typical lines of the Lamborghini, therefore, reinforcing a broad and strong character of the car.
The interior of the Urus echoes that of individuality with a luxurious finish and super sports car seat positions that are firmly integrated within the cabin, keeping the cockpit easily reachable for the driver and passengers. Apart from the hexagonal theme being embodied throughout the interior, a multi-function, three-spoke steering wheel also incorporates a vibration damper that enhances the comfort during any driving conditions.
Prices for the Lamborghini Urus are currently estimated to be in the region of RM1 million, and this is before options, taxes and on-road costs, according to Lamborghini distributor JH Italia.
