iQOO Neo5S, iQOO Neo5 SE launched: comes with a Snapdragon 888, 4,500 mAh battery and more

Earlier this week, vivo’s subsidiary, , had launched their latest smartphones – the Neo5S and Neo5 SE. These phones pack a lot of great specs for under RM2000, like the Snapdragon 888 SoC, 50MP main camera, and 4,500 mAh battery. So let’s see what else these phones have in store.

The iQOO Neo5S and 5 SE have very similar designs with each other, with a smooth matte texture, curved sides, and a triple camera system on the back panel. In terms of their form factor, the Neo 5S measures 8.39mm thin and weighs 197 grams, and the Neo5 SE measures 8.53mm thin and weighs 189 grams.

 

The triple camera system on the iQOO Neo5S, gives you a 48MP main shooter, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, while on the Neo5 SE you have a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP macro lens. While on the front, both phones use a 16MP selfie camera.

iQOO Neo5 SE includes a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display that pushes a 144Hz refresh rate and has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. While the Neo5S has a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate.

As for the internal specifications of the phones, the iQOO Neo5S uses a Snapdragon 888 5G SoC and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, while the Neo5 SE has a Snapdragon 870 SoC and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, both of which are powered by 4,500 mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.

Currently, the is priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly RM1,453) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant, CNY 2,399 (roughly RM1,585) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage option, and CNY2,599 (roughly RM1,718) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant.

Meanwhile, the starts at CNY 2,699 (roughly RM1,783) for the base model that gives you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, CNY 2,899 (roughly RM1,916) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage option, and CNY3,199 (roughly RM2,114) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant.
