iPhone 7 could feature a Force Touch home button

iPhone users like me have had a love and hate affair with its physical home button, the round shaped home button is one of the most iconic hardware that has inspired Android phone makers in the early days and sometimes you just like to press it for no reason, it has been reported that the physical home button could be going away in the next iPhone, in order to give the iPhone a cleaner design, Apple could actually make a Force Touch home button on the iPhone, which we can assume it to be a capacitive area on the phone’s bezel. While its great that we are finally seeing a change in the iPhone’s design, it leaves us wondering if Apple would also implement Touch ID on the capacitive area and how we can make a reset on the iPhone without a physical home button.

In previous rumor round ups, the iPhone 7 is expected to sport a significant set of new hardware, such as a dual camera lens, a 256GB onboard storage option, a smart connector that is also found on the iPad Pro, and a new Deep Blue color to replace the current Space Grey color. Apple’s next iPhone 7 is due in another month’s time and we should expect more leaks to come by as time draws closer.
