There’s no denying that the new iPhones are costly, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to afford them.

Gone are the days where you need to prepare enough cash in advance or pay instalment fees when you swipe your credit card; here are some ways to get the new iPhones without paying the full amount instantly or owning a credit card.

Buy now, pay later

Online shoppers are probably familiar with this term; “Buy now, pay later” lets you purchase a product using your debit card with 0% instalment.

Yup, there’s no need to own a credit card.

There are many payment gateways now that offers 0% payment plan for debit card users; the only drawback to these instalment plans is the shorter instalment period.

While banks usually offer 6- to 36-month instalment plans, payment gateways like Atome and Split offer 3-month instalment with 0% interest fees.

But they also have their advantages; if you buy your new iPhone from iTworld, paying with Split will get you 2% cashback while paying with Atome will get you RM100 cashback voucher.

This redemption is based on first come first serve basis, so make sure you do it fast once the pre-order starts.

These cashbacks can be used on your next purchase from iTworld but do note that the debit card limit is maxed at RM4,099 so this promo is only applicable to those who wants to get the iPhone 13 mini (128GB/256GB) or the 128GB iPhone 13.

Both promotions are available from October 1 to November 20, 2021.

But wait! Here’s an exception.

PayLater Mall allows you to pay for your iPhone 13 in instalments using your debit card, but it has an additional 24-month instalment plan that will require RM500 upfront payment.

PayLater Mall is only available for in-store purchase, while Atome and Split can also be used for online purchase.

Easy Payment Plan (EPP)

Many banks have started offering interest-free instalment plans, but if you’re purchasing from iTworld, here are three banks that’ll give you more value.

UOB & HSBC

If you have a credit card from these banks, you can enjoy a complimentary warranty on your iPhone 13 on the second year when you opt for EPP.

You’ll also get a free phone case worth up to RM99 and a RM100 shopping voucher for your next purchase – this is also based on first come first serve basis, so make sure to redeem it quick.

Standard Chartered Bank

Standard Chartered Bank’s EPP will also get you similar benefits, but instead of a RM100 voucher, you’ll be entitled up to RM200 waive on your first month’s instalment.

However, this requires a minimum spending of RM3,800 in a single receipt and redemption is based on first come first serve basis.

Trade-in – getting the iPhone 13 for less

Imagine saving a few hundreds, or even thousands on your new iPhone. Sounds impossible? It’s not.

iTworld’s trade-in program offers up to 50% trade-in value on the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In addition to that, you’ll get RM200 rebate when you purchase the new iPhone 13 if you participate in the trade-in program. However, this is not applicable to the iPhone 13 mini.

Even though you can do online and in-store trade-ins, this exclusive offer is only applicable to in-store trade-ins.

iPhone for Everyone

3- or 4-month instalment plans are still too much for your bank account? Well, then you may consider the iPhone for Everyone program.

This program lets you own a new iPhone via a 24- or 36-month instalment plan, and you don’t need a credit card or debit card!

You will have to be a Malaysian aged between 18 to 64 years old; just visit the nearest iTworld outlets (make sure you bring your IC!), choose your device and plan, and submit your application.

However, there is a one-time program fee that’s equivalent to the monthly fee of your preferred phone, and you’ll need to pay a one-month advance payment before you bring your new iPhone home with you.

Pre-order from iTworld’s official site or Shopee store

We’ve discussed the numerous methods you can opt for to buy yourself a new iPhone, but you can simply pre-order it the usual way.

Either make a full payment on iTworld’s pre-order page or pay a RM200 deposit and the remaining amount before October 7, 2021.

For those who pre-orders from iTworld’s Shopee store, you’ll have to pay the balance before October 5, 2021.

Purchasing from Shopee will also get you some interesting deals! For example, those who get any models from the iPhone 13 lineup will be able to purchase Apple’s 20W USB-C power adapter or Apple USB-C to Lightning cable for only RM1.

You can even get RM100 rebate on the AirPods Pro in a limited time offer!

GLOO Rewards

If you’re a GLOO Rewards member, you’ll also get RM100 cash voucher if you purchase the iPhone 13 from iTworld or GLOO — this is on top of all the other rewards that were mentioned above.

Don’t forget to protect your iPhone 13!

The first thing you should always do is make sure your iPhone 13 is well-protected; you should first get a phone case and a screen protector.

But to further secure your iPhone, you can also get ShieldCare Plus Accident Damage Plan that can get you extended warranty and free repair when your iPhone suffers from water or screen crack damage

iTworld is offering this plan with 20% discount as long as you’re purchasing one of the phones from the iPhone 13 series.

You’ve decided on how to pay for your new iPhone 13, what’s next?

Either you wait, or you visit iTworld’s outlets to pick up your brand-new iPhone!

Many of you will be eager to receive your new iPhone, so iTworld is offering same-day delivery for customers in Ipoh, Klang Valley and Kota Bharu who complete their pre-order before 12pm on October 7, 2021.

This will ensure that you get your phone immediately on the day it’s launched, but make sure you check (here) to see if your area is covered for same-day delivery.
