iOS 15.4 will let you restore your Apple Watch firmware

The Apple Watch isn’t prone to bricks, but if somehow your Apple Watch ran into firmware issues, you will be happy to know that you no longer need to spend a trip to the service center to get it fixed, as iPhones with iOS 15.4 and Apple Watches on watchOS 8.5 will allow you to restore an Apple Watch wirelessly.

iOS 15.4 and watchOS 8.5 have been made available since yesterday, while the main update highlight of the former includes Face ID unlock with a mask for iPhone 12 and newer and new emojis, the Apple Watch firmware restore feature is spotted by 9to5Mac on Apple’s support article, you will of course need to have your phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth enabled to perform the restore.

However, Apple has noted that this firmware restore method might not work in every case and if your Apple Watch happens to show a red exclamation mark icon, you will still need to take it to an authorized service center to get it fixed.
