We’re hating how iOS 12.1.3 is wrecking our cellular data and WiFi connection but Apple might just come up with a solution soon as the company has just released iOS 12.2 beta version last week.

According to 9to5Mac, iOS 12.2 will grant users with more control towards the Screen Time feature. The Screen Time feature was first introduced in iOS 12, and it has been a rather useful feature to track users’ app usage. With Screen Time, you get reports on the time you spent on each app and whether your usage increased compared to the previous week. You can also track the number of times you picked up your phone and the amount of notifications received.

However, we’re discussing the Downtime feature under Screen Time, which is a feature that lets you set a specific period of time where you can only use specific apps and answer phone calls. This is helpful as it can prevent you from spending too much time on your phone, and in the new iOS update you’ll be able to customise your Downtime to fit your daily schedule instead of only being stuck to one time.

What I’m trying to say is with iOS 12.2, you are offered the options to customise your days for Downtime, so you can set your Downtime to be a little different on weekends, or you can even set each day to get a different Downtime period.

This might feel like a rather minor update, but it is indeed a useful update to those who utilise the Downtime feature. With that being said, let’s just hope that iOS 12.2 can also resolve the major problem we’re facing (cellular data and WiFi connection) once and for all.
