International Nubia phones will ditch Nubia UI in favour of stock Android

Nubia has just made quite a significant announcement that could be a great direction for the company. They announced that they are removing the Nubia UI in favour of a stock Android experience for its global devices. This decision was made because users were wanting faster Android updates and patches.

However, the Nubia UI will be maintained for its china devices where they don’t have Google Services. Future phones outside China will come with a stock Android Oreo and will be on Project Treble, allowing them to push Android updates as soon as it releases. Nubia has stated that it will be easier for them to maintain models for the global market and they are targeting to keep their consumers in Europe and other regions happier.

On a side note, Nubia has been releasing their phones in Europe under a different name called Archos but they are one and the same as they have gone under a partnership with Nubia.
