As the CPU war rages on between Intel and AMD, the former seems to be prepared for its next generation of Core processors, codenamed Coffee Lake (can’t they think of a better name?), the 8th generation of Intel Core processors has been spotted on a CPU-Z screenshot as reported by VideoCardz, it reveals a 6-core processor that uses the LGA1151 socket with a TDP of 80W, the base clock speed is a 3.6GHz with a maximum multiplier of 43, we can assume this to be probably a mainstream Core i5 processor.
Expect Intel to unveil Coffee Lake early 2018, where OEMs and PC builders will announce the use of the chip in events such as CES 2018, time for Intel to buck up.
