Intel set to drop price of CPUs in response to upcoming release of 3rd-Gen AMD Ryzen chips

Another year, another tussle between Intel and AMD – two giants of the CPU business. The battle between lot takes on a new progression as AMD releases their new 3rd-Gen Ryzen processors – in response to this, Intel is reportedly planning to reduce the prices of their own CPUs by a whopping 10 to 15 percent.

According to DigiTimes, Intel have apparently notified component partners about the price drops and we could expect around $25 to $75 off selected products.

According to TechSpot, these items include 9th-Gen Intel Core processors like the Core i9 9900K, i7 9700K and the i5 9600K.

When the new 3rd-Gen AMD Ryzen CPUs hit, we can expect bang-for-you-buck levels of experience – which gives Intel a run for their money, literally. With the new Ryzen chips touted to hit shelves this July 7, we can expect the price drop to be implemented a little sooner.
