Intel has announced that its new family of 8th Gen Intel Core processors will be available for purchase starting 5th October 2017. The new processors are catered to all kinds of users from gamers, content creators and overclockers. As usual, the processors will range from the Core i3 to the Core i7 variants for the different range of users.
Intel is upping the core count with the i5 processor bring it to 6-cores while the i3 will be getting 4-cores. All the processors will be unlocked giving flexibility to users that want to push the processors for more power. On the high-end side, the Intel Core i7-8700K is the best gaming desktop processor, capable of 4.7 GHz maximum single-core turbo frequency, making it the highest Intel has ever pushed their processors.
Intel boasts that the new processors will be able to give gamers up to 25 percent more frames when it comes to demanding games like Gears of War 4 and it will make easy work if you want to game, stream and record all the same time.
Other than that, they have also said that the new processors will be able to edit and render 4K 360-degrees videos up to 32 percent faster compared to previous generations and 65 percent faster compared to a 3-year old PC.
All the new processors will be compatible with Intel Optane memory which combined with the 8th gen processors will increase system performance by 2.1 times faster than regular HDDs. The processor will be available on the 5th October with pricing to be announced soon.
