Back in 2013, Instagram arrived to the Windows Phone Store. As much as users Windows mobile users rejoiced, it was only available for Windows 8 devices. Also, that version of Instagram, which was in beta, had somewhat limited functionalities that can’t possibly be excused in 2016. The beta app didn’t have video support, in-app image capturing and photo tagging, proving itself to be a slight disappointment for Windows mobile fanatics.

Fast forward to today, the photo social app has arrived on Windows 10 mobile devices but unfortunately, still maintaining the beta form. This doesn’t come as a surprise due to the number of notable bugs in the app. For instance, the app crashing on itself when editing and taking photos. As much as the full fledged beta version of Instagram is out, bugs like those really have to go.

Nevertheless, it’s still worth giving the app a try just for the sake of acknowledging their efforts, and some of you out there probably have Lumia phones lying around which are Instagram-short. But definitely, do try it before the app rating plunges from the current 3.9 out of 5. The Instagram beta app for Windows is available here. Till then, stay tuned!
