Infinix Malaysia launches Note 40 and Note 40 Pro 5G from RM898

Infinix has officially unveiled its mid-range Note 40 series in a global event set in Malaysia yesterday, and the company has further confirmed in a press release that only the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro 5G will make its way to our market, and as you’d expect, the Note 40 is priced at an attractive RM898 and the Note 40 Pro 5G costs slightly more at RM1098.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 7020 processor paired to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, it features a 6.78-inch OLED curved edge display that refreshes at 120Hz, a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging and 20W magnetic wireless charging, while its triple camera setup consists of a 108MP main camera that can do a 3x in-sensor lossless zoom and two 2MP auxiliary cameras, the front camera is a 32MP shooter.

As for the Infinix Note 40, it is powered by a slightly beefier Mediatek Helios G99 Ultimate processor paired to the same 8GB RAM and 256GB storage combo, it has the same display size as the Pro model albeit with a flat screen, the camera setup is similar and while it omits wireless charging, it still supports 45W fast wired charging.

Infinix has boasted a lot on the Note 40 series all-round fast charging, which both phones feature a dedicated Cheetah X1 power management chip for ensuring the phone’s battery is being charged optimally and prevents overcharging, these phones can also support a 10W reverse wired charging to other devices, ByPass Charging 2.0 that directly powers the phone in intensive gameplay sessions without heating up the phone.

The Note 40 series batteries have also been tested to work properly in extreme harsh cold temperatures for as low as -20°C.

Infinix Malaysia will begin preorders of the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro 5G on 19th March 2024, preorder customers will receive a free Magpower wireless powerbank and Magcase worth RM69 for both models, general availability in retailers and other sales channels will be made on 25th March 2024 onwards.
