Infinix launches Note 30 series smartphone from RM699

Shortly after its global launch, Infinix has taken the wraps off its highly anticipated Note 30 series smartphone in Malaysia, comprising the Note 30 and Note 30 Pro, they are Mediatek Helio G99 powered devices and offer quite the feature set for under RM1,000, giving other brands like Realme and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note lineup a run for their money.

Leading the series, the Note 30 Pro features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that produces 10-bit colors and refreshes at 120Hz, it comes with 8GB of RAM that can be virtually expanded by an additional 8GB, and 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a MicroSD card without needing to use up the second SIM slot.

Furthermore, the Note 30 Pro’s display also features a 360Hz touch sampling rate and 1920Hz PWM Dimming, while its peak brightness is rated at 900 nits, making this one of the best smartphone displays within its class.

Taking the entertainment and gaming experience up a notch is its JBL Tuned stereo speakers, which has also impressively received the Hi-Res audio certification from the Japan Audio Society.

The Note 30 Pro continues to impress with a premium build quality that features a satin glass back, it also has enhanced cell reception with its self-developed Ultra Power Signal technology which helps to boost reception in weak coverage areas such as elevators and basements, Infinix claims that the Note 30 Pro can achieve up to 40% increase in cellular signal strength and 100% increase in WiFi signal strength in landscape mode.

Camera wise, the Note 30 Pro is equipped with a 108MP main camera assisted by two 2MP cameras, while the front camera is a 32MP shooter, Infinix has included features such as Dual View mode that allows capturing photos from both front and rear cameras, Sky Remap that adjusts the sky in photos and a Street Photography Filter.

What will impress the lot is the phone’s fast 68W wired charging speed and it is the only phone under RM1,000 to come with 15W wireless charging, juicing up the phone is a beefy 5,000mAh battery that offers up to two days of moderate usage. Furthermore, Infinix has also introduced Bypass Charging on the phone, which has the phone powered directly by the AC charger and eliminates overheating issues while gaming.

On the other hand, the Infinix Note 30 carries over most of the hallmarks of the Note 30 Pro, though you get a 6.78-inch IPS display instead of AMOLED but it still refreshes at 120Hz and has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, the main camera resolution has been halved to 64MP, it doesn’t come with wireless charging and has a slower wired charging rate at 45W, which is still nonetheless a very decent device.
