The HUAWEI Y9 Prime 2019 is officially launching on July 27 at RM899

HUAWEI recently announced its first-ever pop-up camera smartphone, the Y9 Prime 2019. This device is officially launching on July 27 at the price of RM899.

This mid-range device has a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display that has no notch whatsoever thanks to its pop-up mechanism. It sports an LCD screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and has really narrow bezels. You’ll also be glad to know that this device still has a headphone jack and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In addition to that, the Y9 Prime 2019 is powered by a Kirin 710F chipset paired with EMUI 9 and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. With a 4,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C, the phone offers longer battery life so you can use it throughout the day without needing to bring a power bank wherever you go.

As for its cameras, the Y9 Prime 2019 is not shabby either. It houses a 16MP camera with built-in AI feature on the front, while on the back it has a triple rear camera setup. Its main camera is a 16MP lens with f/1.8 aperture, while its secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and its third 2MP sensor works as a depth camera.

The HUAWEI Y9 Prime 2019 is available for purchase in three colours — Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green. You can get this device at all HUAWEI Brand Stores and HUAWEI Online Official Stores and you’ll even be eligible for exclusive rewards when you purchase this phone.
