Huawei Y5 Prime is now available for purchase in Malaysia for only RM490

Huawei has just announced the introduction of the Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 into their Y-family of phones. It comes with Android 8.1.0 out of the box and is powered by a 3020mAh battery.

The Y5 Prime comes equipped with a 5.45-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen with HD+ resolutions. Huawei has taken the extra step to ensure that even if the phone has a bigger display, it will still be comfortable to hold in your hand thanks to its curved back design. The phone is made to target the younger generation, as it comes with a 5MP selfie camera with a selfie toning flash.

It can automatically detect the lighting and adjust the brightness for a better selfie shot. Users can also use the manual controls to better adjust their images to their liking. On the back, is a 13MP sensor that supports HDR and users can play around with the various filters to fit the mood. The Y5 prime 2018 also comes with AI facial recognition, it can detect points on a human face and perform mapping which will give you a better and secure face unlock.

Adding the fun element to the phone, Huawei has added unique features like karaoke mode which allows the user to hear their own voice through the speakers when they are singing and gestures like three-finger screenshot.

The Huawei Y5 Prime comes in either Black or Blue with a retail price of RM490 or pay RM1 for the phone with Digi’s Postpaid Phone Plans.
