Huawei seems to be spending no time in pushing it’s flagship P20 smartphone to the Malaysian market, as the company’s PR team has sent out a media invitation a few hours before of it’s global launch, the P20 is set to launch on April 2nd at 2PM, where we should expect details such as pricing and availability on at that time.
Huawei is set to unveil the P20 and P20 Pro smartphone at a global event at Paris later tonight, where the phone will feature an all new but familiar design with upgraded cameras. The P20 Pro in particular, has been reported to come with a third telephoto lens that does 5x hybrid zoom with an 8-megapixel resolution, on top of it’s usual 20-megapixel monochrome and 12-megapixel RGB lens.
It’s great news that Huawei is bringing on the P20 and P20 Pro earlier to the Malaysian market as early as usual, and the phones might actually give the Galaxy S9 a run for it’s money for what it is capable of. Judging by Huawei’s fashion, the P20 might be priced around the same as the current P10’s launch price at RM2,499, while the P20 Pro might get a slight price bump from the current P10 Plus’ RM3,099 price tag, all thanks to that additional camera lens. Should you want to watch the live stream of the P20 and P20 Pro, it will happen at 9PM tonight, and you can watch via the YouTube video down below.
