Huawei was giving out power banks to people queuing up at Singapore Apple Store

Viral pictures were shared on social media yesterday showing Singaporeans lining up to pick up the new phones that just landed in their country. While it comes as no surprise that people will be lining up to pick up the new iPhones, what makes this story more interesting is what Huawei did.

Cheeky Huawei was in a generous mood and started distributing their 10000mAh power banks to the people lining-up with a message “Here’s a power bank. You’ll need it. Courtesy of Huawei” which is an obvious jab at the iPhone’s battery life which is not capable of surpassing the large batteries that Huawei places in their phones. Obviously, people graciously accepted the power banks because who does not like free stuff. Apple has not commented on this matter and it also seems like they did not chase away the Huawei reps that were distributing them to the people in-line.

Obviously, Huawei means no harm and some took it as a funny and nice gesture towards the people that were camping in line waiting to get their hands on the new phones.
