Huawei has shipped over 100 million phones so far this year

Huawei has been making headlines throughout 2017. The company has not only launched a line of impressive smartphones, but has actually overtaken Apple as the second largest smartphone manufacturer for a good two months, being the first company to challenge the likes of Apple and Samsung at the top. According to China Daily, Huawei has sold more than 100 million phones over the last three quarters in 2017.

100 million smartphones sold within nine months is definitely no small feat, but it shows how far Huawei has come to finally join the elite group of giant smartphone manufacturers. With the company’s P series and Mate series flagships, along with its recent line of super affordable mid rangers, one can only assume that things will continue to go up for Huawei.

Of course, Huawei isn’t aiming to only leapfrog Apple in the charts, it plans to topple first placed Samsung as well, which has been dominating the Android smartphone market for quite some time now. Huawei’s CEO claims that it is the company’s destiny to eventually overtake Samsung for the top spot.

The future is looking bright for Huawei, with the recent launch of the Mate 10 among other handsets such as the Nova 2i. Let’s hope Huawei continues its stride in the smartphone world.
