HUAWEI P50 series: Here’s how it looks like

The upcoming HUAWEI P50 series is expected to launch at the end of July. This series will consist of the P50, the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ and will come in 5G and non-5G versions.

This is an interesting colour for the HUAWEI P50

Based on some online photos found by GSMArena, the HUAWEI P50 will come in a sparkly pink finish. The camera setup is also similar to previous rumours — there are two circular bumps; the top houses three lenses while the bottom houses the ultrawide lens that is expected to use a new 1/1.18-inch sensor.

We’ll be seeing these phones in two different chipsets

Another interesting news is that the P50 may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip. However, this is an LTE-only version, not the 5G chipset we’re familiar with. This is due to the US trade ban that prohibits Chinese companies from trading with U.S. companies when it comes to 5G technology.

Even though the HUAWEI phones may be powered by the Snapdragon 888, Google Mobile Services will still remain unavailable on these phones. As for the 5G models, HUAWEI is likely to use their own Kirin 9000 chips.
