The Huawei P50 series launched a few months back, but the brand didn’t unveil the most exciting foldable variant, the Huawei P50 Pocket. As a smartphone that adopts a clamshell design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, it comes as a close competitor to the Z Flip3.
Display
The Huawei P50 Pocket features a 6.9-inch FHD+ OLED display that pushes a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also has an aspect ratio of 21:9 — meaning you can enjoy your movies in its natural form. Other than that, the inner display has a 300Hz sampling touch rate along with DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR support.
Camera
On the upper ring lays the triple camera setup which consists of a 40MP True-Chroma Camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP Ultra Spectrum Camera. For the selfies, the centered punch-hole cutout on the inner display houses a 10.7MP camera.
Specs
Under the hood, the Huawei P50 Pocket packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 4G SoC. The normal edition comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage whereas the Premium Edition comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Price and availability
The Huawei P50 Pocket is priced at CNY 8,988 (~RM5928) for the 8GB+256GB model whereas its Premium Edition will go for CNY 10,988 (~RM7248) for the 12GB+512GB model. The company also offers a variety of cases for you to choose from.
