It looks like the Huawei Nova 6 is official and there will be three variants available – the Huawei Nova 6, Nova 6 SE and the Nova 6 5G.

The Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G sports a massive 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display along with a dual selfie lens (32MP + 8MP) punch hole. Meaning it looks oval – like the Samsung Galaxy S10+. The Nova 6 SE has a smaller 6.4-inch LCD panel that houses online one 16MP selfie lens – so you get a more traditional punch hole look.

In the imaging department, the two higher-end models get three cameras – 40MP, 8MP telephoto and 8MP ultrawide. The Nova 6 SE sports an iPhone-esque square camera module instead but with four lenses – 48MP + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro lens.

Under the hood, the Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G gets a Kirin 990 chipset, the latter of course gets a Balong 5000 5G modem. Both devices get 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. A decently-sized 4,100mAh battery powers the regular model, while a slightly bigger 4,200mAh battery will power the 5G variant. Both devices support up to 40W Huawei SuperCharge.

For the Nova 6 SE, you get a weaker Kirin 810 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, a 4,200mAh battery as well as the same fast charge support.

The Nova 6 is priced from 3,199 Yuan (RM1,891), the Nova 6 SE goes for 2,199 Yuan (RM1,300) and the Nova 6 5G will set you back 3,799 Yuan (RM2,246) for the 8+128GB version and 4,199 Yuan (RM2,482) for the 8+256GB variant.

There’s no official word on when the phones will arrive in Malaysia, but if history is anything to go by, we’d wager a late January 2020 luanch.
