HUAWEI’s nova series is one of the more popular series, and HUAWEI is introducing two more devices to the series — the nova 5 and nova 5i.
According to leaks from a Chinese online retailer, the nova 5 will be launching by the end of June, but the alleged phone case and screen protector have already been revealed. From the looks of it, the nova 5 will have thin bezels with a slightly larger chin, and will have a full display — possibly like the Huawei nova 4 that came with a punch-hole display.
The case also showed that there will be a headphone jack at the bottom located next to the speaker grill, in addition to a big cutout at the back that almost guarantee a triple camera setup. There’s also no other cutout, meaning the nova 5 will not go with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
GSMArena also reported that they have an updated spec sheet of the nova 5, in which it will sport a 6.39-inch AMOLED display paired with an in-display fingerprint reader. It is also expected to house a flagship Kirin 980 chipset and come with a 4,200mAh battery in addition to shipping with EMUI skin on top of Android 9. The nova 5 is almost certain to come with a 48MP main camera, though its other sensors are not revealed.
