Huawei Mate 10 rumored to launch on October 16 with a $1100 price tag

A rumour has been floating around about the launch of the Huawei Mate 10 smartphone on October 16 and these rumours also indicate that the phone will not be cheap but will come with a Lite variant. This phone will be the last flagship that Huawei will launch before the end of the year and it will be the biggest phone coming in at 6-inch with a JDI display, 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution.

The rumour also listed the phone to be around $1100 and will come with the new Kirin 970 developed by the company it self, this would make the first 10nm chip that Huawei produced. On the other hand, the Lite variant will be half the price of the bigger version at only $556 and will have a 5.8-inch screen. The price that might sound like Huawei is trying to push it and go against the like of Apple’s iPhone 8 which was also rumoured to be over $1000 when their most expensive phone comes in around at $800.

It seems to be that phone manufacturers are trying to price their phones at a full computer price, but could this method actually attract customers to ditch a computer or laptop and just use their smartphones as their everyday computer? Let me know your thoughts.
