Last week Huawei released a poster that teased its new smartphone that will come with an Infinity-O display, and many were still debating whether it’d be called the Nova 3S or Nova 4. Now with the newest update, it has been confirmed that the new Huawei smartphone will be named Nova 4.
The Nova 4 will be getting a remarkable screen-to-body ratio thanks to the Infinity-O display which will also be the location of the front camera. This makes the phone the first to have an in-display camera, and also the first to use the Infinity-O display. Samsung is also supposed to release the Galaxy A8s with the unique display, however there is no launch date yet for Samsung hence Huawei is probably going to beat them to it.
While the smartphone’s specs have not been revealed, rumours suggest that the phone will be equipped with the company’s Kirin 980 processor, and will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, though there are other predictions that believe the phone might come with 8GB RAM. The Nova 4 is predicted to have dual rear camera whereas the front camera is confirmed to have single lens, as can be seen in the teaser poster. The poster also suggests that there will be very thin bezels, though the chin will be a little thicker than the rest of the sides, probably to accommodate to the antenna placement in the phone. The Nova 4 is also expected to be shipped with EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie, and many are expecting a high battery capacity that is above 3700mAh.
The Nova 4 will be revealed in China on 17 December, so in less than three weeks we will find out how outstanding the phone can be with its new display.
