Huawei has stated that they will release a foldable phone in 2019

There have bee huge speculations for a while now that Huawei will be releasing a foldable phone, which got everyone peeked with interest. Sadly, these speculations have been going on for a long time, but in a recent interview with Jim Xu, Huawei Consumer Business President, he confirmed that a foldable smartphone could release in 2019.

He goes on to add that the company already has a working prototype which they could release by the end of 2018, but due to the need for a better design and other innovations, the phone will be released at a later time. However, even if the phone will be unveiled next year, it still will not be available to users, as Huawei wants to gather feedback on the device before giving it a full release.

In other news, the company is also releasing a gaming-focused phone which is slated to release by the end of 2018. With the release of the GPU Turbo feature that is in the Honor 10 GT, Huawei could potentially have a decent tech to rival the likes of the ROG Phone which was released during Computex 2018.
