Huawei gives the Huawei Watch 2 the Porsche Design treatment

Huawei previously put on sale what might be its most expensive smartphone ever, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 smartphone. The premium priced handset sported top notch specs, including a 5.5-inch curved display at QHD resolution, plus a whopping 6GB of RAM underneath the hood to support Huawei’s flagship Kirin 960 processor. The Chinese manufacturer has partnered up with Porsche Design once again for another one of its products – the Huawei Watch 2.

The overall design of the Porsche Design Huawei Watch 2 is inspired by its regular Classic variant. Nothing has been changed internally for this model of the Huawei Watch 2, but the overall aesthetic obviously features a Porsche Design touch to it.

First of all, the bezel is made of ceramic and is designed in a unique speedometer style. The watch case is of high quality black DLC finish which is highly resistant to abrasion, and the strap is of leather-rubber hybrid. This variant also comes with an exclusive Porsche Design watch face with a one touch chronograph function which is inspired by the dashboard of a Porsche sports car. To slightly recap, the Huawei Watch 2 is IP68 water resistant, features GPS and a 2 day battery life.

Of course, the Porsche Design Huawei Watch 2 doesn’t come cheap. It is currently being made available on sale in Europe for a pricey 795 Euros (RM 3959.97). Do you think the design justifies its price tag?
