HTC will have a mid range handset with Edge Sense

HTC’s Edge Sense technology might sound gimmicky at best to some, but it has also proven to come in handy for some users. Reviews of the feature so far have been pretty much a mixed bag, but it seems like HTC will be launching another device with Edge Sense.

According to well known HTC source LlabTooFeR on Twitter, HTC will soon launch a mid range device known as “Ocean Life”. Ocean Life might be the code name of the upcoming device so chances are that it will be a lesser version of the HTC U11.

LlabTooFeR claims that Ocean Life will sport a 5.2-inch display at 1080p resolution. It will also be powered by the new Snapdragon 660 SoC underneath the hood. The amount of RAM and storage have not been revealed but chances are that the phone will carry 4GB of RAM with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.

The phone will also feature 16MP rear and front facing shooters respectively. Bluetooth 5.0 technology is said to take place as well, plus a modest sounding 2,600mAh battery. The Ocean Life handset will also run HTC Sense 9.0, the Edge Sense squeeze feature and is likely to come bundled with HTC’s USonic headphones.

It is likely that the HTC U11 won’t be the only phone to have Edge Sense, hence the possibility of a mid ranger with the same feature. LlabTooFeR’s leaks are mostly credible but do take this one with a hint of salt anyway.
