HTC U11+ finally gets Android 9 OTA update in Malaysia after delays

One of 2017’s flagships in the HTC U11+ is finally receiving the much-awaited Android 9 Pie OTA update.

It was announced earlier that along with the HTC U11 and the U1+ , the U11+ would receive the update – after some delays by way of HTC pulling back the update, home-base nation Taiwan would receive the new OS first, then most recently Europe; but we have confirmation that Malaysia gets it too.

Warren (you may know him as our editor-in-chief) had his HTC U11+ updated already and we expect those with the phone to be quite happy about it. Along with it comes a removal of Google+ from BlinkFeed, well, because it’s been shut down.

The changelog also mentions system enhancements. The update size is 1.37GB and you should be able to receive by heading into your settings.
