Despite the fact that the HTC 10 turned out to be a flagship smartphone that is worthy of competing with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the LG G5, HTC’s stocks have slumped more than 10% in the last week. Additionally, only 251 units of the HTC 10 were pre-ordered at two major Chinese retailers. The Taiwanese OEM sure has a lot of catch up to play as the HTC 10 heads to other regional markets. Meanwhile, a HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition was just launched in Europe.
One would think why would HTC bother re-igniting the One M9 title and launch a new device, but the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition happens to be just another fancy name for the HTC One M9s. The One M9s was launched just six months ago in HTC’s home country, Taiwan. The six-month old handset with a new identity arrived in Poland, offered with a PLN 99.99 (RM102.85) monthly plan by local carrier Play, with the One M9 Prime Camera Edition costing only PLN 1 (RM1.03) upfront.
The deal still happens to be pretty much a steal although the device sports slightly dated specs. For starters, it features a 5-inch Super LCD3 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, a MediaTek Helio X10 SoC under the hood alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD. The handset comes with a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture an a 4MP UltraPixel selfie shooter. Powering the phone is a 2,840mAh battery. What do you think?
