CES 2017 is only a little over two weeks away as manufacturers and tech companies gear up for first major expo of 2017. HTC has teased a something to be unveiled, but oddly enough, shortly after CES next year. Based on a teaser on HTC’s Twitter feed, it has someething for us, or rather, “for U” arriving on the 12th of January next year.
That seems to be all there is on the teaser image itself, a simple “for” with a big “U”, a date below and the HTC logo at the corner. No subtle hints of any device whatsoever, which will make it hard for people to speculate. The last known “U” product by HTC is one that was unveiled at this year’s CES – a UA Health Box from a HTC and Under Armour partnership. Other than that, it is rather hard to come out with any credible predictions.
On the other hand, remember HTC’s unreleased smartwatch which has an Under Armour logo on it? Perhaps HTC has revived the initiative, building a whole new fitness centric smartwatch in collaboration with Under Armour yet again. It could be anything – a smartphone, a new VR headset or a tablet. All we can do now is keep our eyes peeled and wait for another three more weeks. What do you think?
