This year, we have the HTC One M8 as the flagship model just like last year’s HTC One M7, so there has to be a successor to the other One models such as the One Mini and One Max. According to rumours, it seems that the company is already in the process of making the One Max’s successor, known as the HTC One M8 Prime.
The HTC One M8 Prime is rumoured to come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor (APQ8084 SoC) and 3GB of RAM. Additionally, the Ultrapixel camera is also said to be upgraded to a slightly higher number at 5MP and still features the secondary camera that does the ‘bokeh effect’, USB 3.0 connectivity and 16GB internal storage can also be expected from the HTC One M8 Prime.

The Snapdragon 805 processor is certainly a beast in terms of performance as we’ve talked about it back in a post on a reference tablet by Qualcomm, however HTC will still be facing a strong competition from the upcoming Samsung GALAXY Note 4, SonyXPERIA Z2 Ultra and a wide range of China devices. Let’s hope they will be able to release the device on time at September this year, according to source.

Oh yea, not to forget to mention, @evleaks was also being criticised by HTC Product Manager Leigh Momii just because he merely suggested that HTC didn’t mention the coolest features on the HTC One M8 Prime, does that mean the name is finally confirmed?
