Following the release of the Vive VR headset, HTC is now looking to enter the VR apps and games market, and it is doing so via an in-house studio called, appropriately enough, Vive Studios.
According to a report by Venture Beat, HTC plans to operate Vive Studios similarly to how Microsoft and Sony do for their internal development of Xbox and PlayStation titles. Vive Studios will be working on games as well as virtual reality content for cinema, design, real estate, sports and more.
While it is still too early to tell what these “virtual reality content” will be, Vive Studios have already released a game title called Arcade Saga. Meant to show off the capabilities of the Vive’s room-scale VR, the title can be found on Steam and the HTC Viveport store for RM56. The game itself contains three different minigames, all of which are meant to showcase the Vive’s potential.
