HP refreshes the OMEN 15 and OMEN 17 gaming laptops with better gaming and multi-tasking performance

HP has unveiled the updated OMEN by HP gaming laptops that is now more portable as well as improved hardware and features that gamers demand. These OMEN laptops are the updated OMEN 15 and OMEN 17 and HP has claimed that it has met all the requirements that gamers have asked for.

The laptops are VR ready with a Max-Q Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 and an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 8GB of DDR4, specs that are able to run the latest games and offer you a smooth multi-tasking experience aside from gaming. It also comes with a range of storage options like SSD, HDD, SSD + HDD or HDD + Intel Optane memory for faster storage performance.

HP has specially designed the fan to expel heat as fast as possible by including larger fans, 3-phase motor and fluid dynamic bearing that keeps the laptop quiet and offer a more consistent fan control. The vents are located at the bottom where air enters and the rear pushes the air out.

The laptops come with either a 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch display with options like 1080p 144hz, 1080p 60hz, a Nvidia G-Sync on selected configurations. The speakers are powered by Bang & Olufsen alongside a discreet audio amplifier. Those of you that prefer using headphones will be happy to know that the laptops support DTS Headphone: X

Following the trend of gaming laptops, the OMEN can be easily upgraded via the Philips-head screws on the base, with a single panel to access storage and memory. The OMEN 15 retails from RM4,485, while the OMEN 17 retails from RM8,699. The OMEN 15 is now available on HP Online Store and authorized HP resellers while the OMEN 17 will be available starting mid-September 2018.
