HONOR V40 series confirmed to launch with 66W fast charging support

The HONOR V40 series that is launching in 2021 has been revealed to come in three models, and all three should support 66W fast charging.

HONOR upgrades from 40W to 66W fast charging

MySmartPrice has found through a 3C certification website that the HONOR phones will sport 66W wired fast charging which is a significant improvement as compared to the previous models that come with 40W fast charging. Each device will feature a curved display with 140Hz refresh rate, and we should see a pill-shaped camera cutout for dual front cameras.

HONOR V40 may be inspired by the Mate 40 series

Leaks have suggested that the V40 series will share some similarities with the HUAWEI Mate 40 series, including the 50MP cameras that we’ve seen on the Mate 40 series, including the 50MP cameras and the Kirin 9000 chipset. However, the V40 Pro+ may use a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ instead.

Perhaps this is HONOR’s way of saying goodbye to HUAWEI; the Chinese tech giant recently announced that HONOR will be sold off to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd. This decision will probably allow HONOR to include Google apps in its future phones.
