Honor Magic 6 Pro and Pad 9 goes official in Malaysia

Honor Malaysia has finally launched its flagship Magic 6 Pro phone in Malaysia, along with the Honor Pad 9 tablet that was shown in MWC 2024, it has also surprised the media with the introduction of the Magic 6 RSR that’s designed in collaboration with Porsche Design.

Honor Magic 6 Pro

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is the company’s most celebrated flagship phone, boasting a new ultra-fast triple camera system that comprises a groundbreaking 180-megapixel tele-falcon telephoto camera, two 50-megapixel wide and ultra-wide cameras, it is being marketed as a sports photography smartphone camera that can capture fast moving subjects at great clarity, while the front camera takes ultra clear selfies with a 50-megapixel resolution.

Boasting a 6.8-inch second generation NanoCrystal Shield screen, the Honor Magic 6 Pro’s screen pushes FHD+ resolution at 120Hz, while the screen has also been certified by TUV Rheinland to have a five-star all-scenario drop resistance, Honor has even performed a bump test with rival phones to prove how strong the phone’s glass is, and it offers a 365-day screen crack warranty for the front and back glass.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Malaysian market will get a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model as standard, you get a large 5600mAh Silicon Carbon Battery 2.0 that supports 80W Honor SuperCharge and 66W fast wireless charging.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro retails for RM4,499 in Malaysia and comes in Epi Green and Black, it can be preordered with just a RM66 deposit till 27th March 2024, and customers will receive a 5x deposit rebate along with free bundles worth RM1,960.

Honor Pad 9

The Honor Pad 9 is a mid-range tablet that features a 12.1-inch 2.5K eye-care display and refreshes at 120Hz, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip paired to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The tablet’s entertainment experience is further elevated by an 8-speaker sound system, it will come with a Smart Bluetooth Keyboard case and an active stylus, while juicing up your everyday productivity and entertainment enjoyment is a large 8300mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging.

For the first time, Honor Malaysia will be selling both WiFi-only and 5G versions of this tablet, the WiFi model retails for RM1,499 and will be available for purchase on 28th March 2024, customers will receive the Smart Bluetooth Keyboard and Choice Pencil active stylus for free.

Pricing and availability of the 5G model will be announced at a later time.

Honor Magic 6 RSR and Magic V2 RSR

Designed in collaboration with Porsche Design, the Honor Magic 6 RSR isn’t just a beautified and more premium looking Magic 6 Pro, it mainly features an upgraded dual-layer OLED tandem display that has better brightness decaying and an upgraded 50MP Super Dynamic Honor Falcon Camera H9800 lens that’s assisted by a LiDAR sensor for even faster focusing.

The design is crafted by Porsche Design and has the signature Porsche Flyline design language, while the phone’s color options have been fine-tuned by the design firm to match the color options of the Porsche Taycan, it even has the same Agate Grey and Frozen Berry color name as the EV.

On top of that, the Honor Magic 6 RSR comes with an overkill 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage while powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip on the Magic 6 Pro.
