HONOR is set to launch a flip foldable phone this year

The HONOR Magic V2 is an impressive book-style foldable that we all loved, but despite its sleekness, there are some who still prefers a flip-style foldable like the Galaxy Z Flip5, and HONOR CEO George Zhao has revealed that the company is already working on such a phone to rival Samsung during MWC 2024.

While HONOR obviously won’t share more details of the device, George says that the product is already in its final stage of internal testing, while we can look forward to how HONOR intends to incorporate its AI suite of features on its flip-style foldable.

The company’s Magic UI 8.0 on the latest HONOR Magic 6 Pro demonstrates useful intent-based AI features such as its HONOR Magic Portal, which lets you perform certain features in just two steps by understanding the user’s actions.

The HONOR Magic V2’s engineering feat is already a statement of how the company is able to innovate compared to its rivals, the phone measures merely 4.4mm when unfolded and 6.9mm when folded, while only weighing just 231g despite having two screens on a single device.

The HONOR Magic 6 Pro is expected to launch in Malaysia end of this month.
